Optima Plus Sheetfed Offset Ink

Optima Plus is a sheetfed offset ink developed for consistent colour, clean print reproduction and stable performance across a range of print runs.

Its balanced drying, good coverage and uniform colour distribution help printers control ink feed and maintain colour consistency, supporting efficient production with less waste.

Application and substrates

Quickset sheetfed offset printing for commercial work, brochures, catalogues and light non-food packaging. Suitable for gloss and matt coated papers and compatible with most sheetfed offset presses.

• Fast drying with resistance to set-off.
• Resistance to skin formation in the ink duct for up to 48 hours.
• Excellent print-run performance.
• Rapid ink–water balance and easy roller transfer.
• Excellent abrasion resistance.
• Resistance to blanket piling.

Usage instructions

For optimum ink transfer, keep the transfer rollers between 25 and 30 °C.

Not recommended for food packaging. For food-packaging applications, ask our technical team about the VG vegetable-based series.

Recommended additives

• Fountain solution: 52AD5030 or 52AD5031.
• Ink reducer: 17FR1012 at 1–3%.
• Anti-tack additive: 17ANT1032 at a maximum of 5%, to reduce tack while maintaining viscosity.
• Drier: 67MAN6005 at a maximum of 1%.

Packaging

2.5 kg vacuum packs.

Storage

Store at room temperature, away from direct sunlight. Protect from freezing.
