Iranshoraka Company

iranshoraka Chemical Manufacturing Company was established in October 1982 by Engineer Hossein Ghareh Mohammadlou to produce various printing inks. The company started its activity during the special conditions of the Iran-Iraq war without using government financial facilities and only relying on the scientific and technical capabilities of its investors. Gradually, by utilizing the strengths of its management and focusing on the strategic goal of producing raw materials for this industry and similar industries, in 1993 the company successfully launched a modern factory equipped with up-to-date printing ink production technology.

Biography of Engineer Hossein Ghareh Mohammadlou – Founder of Iranshoraka

Engineer Hossein Ghareh Mohammadlou was born in March 1944 in a village near Khoy. He had a difficult childhood, but he described the bitter and sweet memories of his childhood with such emotion and energy that listeners could imagine the snowy winters and beautiful nature of Azerbaijan. According to him, he started working at the age of seven, from gardening and farming to accounting and writing petitions for villagers. He was intelligent, hardworking, and faithful.

He had a strong passion for learning. The distance from the village to the nearest school was 3 kilometers. He had many stories, from digging snow tunnels to escaping wolves to reach school. Every day after a long journey from school, he would go to the farm to help his father. He did his school homework after a hard day under the dim light of an oil lamp and in the silence of the night. He was the top student in school and teachers often relied on him in teaching. This may have led to his interest in teaching, and after completing his studies he entered teacher training college. He became a teacher and taught for several years, but his passion for learning led him to the University of Tehran, where he studied in the Faculty of Chemical Sciences. Work, learning, and sports were his lifelong motto. At university he joined the wrestling team and considered Takhti his hero. Despite financial difficulties, he always remembered his university years happily.

After completing his studies, he started working at Iran Ink Company and later traveled to Germany for training, where he learned conversational German in two months according to his own statement. After returning to Iran, he was determined to produce printing ink himself. He started producing black printing ink in a small workshop in Malard, Karaj, and in 1361 (1982) he established Iran Sherka Manufacturing Company. He was not afraid of problems and difficulties and believed in his knowledge and efforts. He insisted that ink produced in Iran must compete with foreign inks in both quality and price. He not only succeeded in producing various high-quality printing inks but also expanded their export. He expanded the factory and also established a resin production plant. He believed that with sufficient facilities, printing ink raw materials could also be produced in Iran. Despite being very busy, he never neglected learning, research, writing, and teaching his knowledge. He wrote and translated many books and articles in the printing industry field. He taught at Technical and Vocational University and Applied Science University without expecting any compensation. He believed that educating and encouraging young people is the only way to develop the country’s economy.

Engineer Hossein Ghareh Mohammadlou can be considered one of the founders of the printing industry in Iran and never stopped striving to expand this industry and produce domestic printing ink. Even in the hardest days of his life, he remained grateful. He considered his success in education and work the result of his hard work and his faith in God, believing that God was and always has been his only supporter. If time had allowed, he would have continued serving the development of the country’s printing industry. Engineer Mohammadlou passed away after a long battle with cancer in Bahman 1399 (February 2021). Iran Sherka Company is the result of many years of his effort and perseverance and reflects his belief in the capability of domestic production in printing ink and competition in global markets.
